July 2001

John Hill has retired from the band after 37 years loyal service on flugel and tenor horn. John was also band secretary for a number of years.

We are pleased to welcome Derek Ivory and Andy Hicks into the band both from Hadleigh Temple. Derek has joined the back row cornets and Andy has taken his place on the euphonium section.

May 2001

Congratulations are due to Bandmaster James Williams who has received the Masters Dedicated Service Award.

We are pleased to welcome Tim Hynd into the band following his progression from the Young Peoples’ Corps and commissioning as a senior bandsman. Tim will join his father Malcolm on the back row cornets where he has joined the second cornet section. Ian Spowart has left the band due to additional work commitments.

April 2001

We are pleased to welcome Lloyd Hardwick into the band. Lloyd has recently moved to the Enfield area and joins us from Chalk Farm. He has taken his place on 1st Horn whilst Andrew Hill is now supporting Hilton Patterson on Solo Horn.

January 2001

We are pleased to welcome Graham Wallis into the band. Graham has moved to Enfield from Lisburn in Northern Ireland and has joined the 2nd Cornet section.

Maurice Patterson has taken over as Band Secretary (Administration) from Malcolm Hynd who has served as Band Secretary and Assistant Band Secretary for the last sixteen years.
